What “for the kids” means here

It's the reason the club exists. Every decision the committee makes starts with one question: is it good for the kids?

Every kid plays

No one sits on the bench all day. Kids learn by playing, so everyone gets a go.

Cheap enough for every family

Our fees are among the lowest in the league, and new players get their shorts, socks and training top included.

Money goes back to the kids

Every dollar from sponsors and fundraising is spent on the kids and the club. In 2025 it made registration free.

Girls and boys together

Mixed teams, all backgrounds welcome. If your child wants to play, there's a spot for them.

Find the right start

Whether your child has never held a footy or is ready for a season of games, there's a place for them at Hastings.

Learn the basics, have fun

NAB AFL Auskick is where most kids start. Kicking, handballing and games with mates, with parents welcome to join in.

Free footy doubled the club

In 2025, local supporters including the Rotary Club of Hastings Western Port and Peninsula Civil Solutions helped make early bird registration free. The club doubled in size.

That's what backing the club does. If your business wants to help keep footy cheap for local kids, we'd love to hear from you.
